  Welcome to the Infection Control Service web site. 

This web site has been developed to provide information about the activities of the Infection Control Service, Communicable Disease Control Branch, and provide support to clinicians working to prevent health care associated infections. It also aims to:

  • promote infection control as a key element in the provision of quality health care services;
  • provide information about the strategies being undertaken to minimise the risks;
  • provide resources for health professionals working in the field of infection control;
  • provide information to members of the public about the risk of health care associated infection.
